The rapport national sur la situation de la jeunesse (National Report on the Situation of Young People) is one of the instruments for implementing the youth policy. Every five years, the ministry responsible for youth submits to the Chamber of Deputies a rapport national sur la situation de la jeunesse in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, which presents the scientific results produced by the University of Luxembourg.
It provides an exhaustive analysis of the social, societal and personal problems that young people have to face and new courses of action are suggested by the researchers.
These observations make it possible to identify issues for future political action.
The scientific findings collated in the rapport national sur la situation de la jeunesse, as well as consultations with young people, professionals who work with and for young people, decision-makers and national institutions concerned with the cross-cutting topic of youth, provide the basis for the creation of a national action plan.
Thematic studies
In addition to the rapport national sur la situation de la jeunesse, the University of Luxembourg also suggests thematic studies that are conducted within the framework of research on youth in Luxembourg. Several different types of documents are generated within this context, such as: the social report, the study on Health Behaviour in School-aged Children, the Luxembourg Youth Survey, research through polling, the research and evaluation regarding non-formal education as well as documentation.
