The Eltereforum invites you to a conference on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 6:30 PM at Kinepolis in Luxembourg-Kirchberg (Hall 10):
Parenting Today: Appreciate, Strengthen, Protect
Today, parents’ everyday lives are shaped by new societal demands, diverse expectations, and changing role perceptions. The conference "Parenting Today: Appreciate, Strengthen, Protect" addresses the key questions of modern parenting: how can parents find stability in a fast-paced and uncertain world shaped by old patterns? How can they provide their children with security and guidance without pressure or punishment – while also protecting themselves?
The talk will explore why parents today are exposed to multiple pressures, how historical concepts about parenting continue to influence them, and why appreciation and self-care are essential components of a contemporary, non-violent, and loving upbringing. Drawing on everyday examples, the speakers Kathrin Hohmann (childhood educator and author) sowie Inke Hummel (educator M. A., family coach, and author) will provide practical guidance on setting boundaries in a secure and caring way and fostering a more relaxed family life.
The event is aimed at parents, educational professionals, and all those interested in child protection and family education. The lecture will be held in German and simultaneously interpreted into French and English. After the presentation and Q&A session, a reception will provide an opportunity for networking and discussion.
Admission is free. Online registration is requested:
