Holidays in music education

Note: Holidays in music education usually start on a Sunday, whereas school holidays start on a Saturday.

This means that music lessons are provided on Saturdays.

School year 2023/2024

The school year for music lessons starts on Friday 15 September 2023 and ends on Monday 15 July 2024.

  • The Christmas holidays start on Sunday 24 December 2023 and end on Sunday 7 January 2024.             
  • The Carnival holidays start on Sunday 11 February 2024 and end on Sunday 18 February 2024.
  • The Easter holidays start on Sunday 31 march 2024 and end on Sunday 14 April 2024.
  • Public holiday: Wednesday 1 May 2024.
  • Day of leave on Ascension Day / Europe Day: Thursday 9 May 2024.
  • Day of leave on Whit Monday: Monday 20 May 2024.
  • The Pentecost holidays start on Sunday 26 May 2024 and end on Sunday 2 June 2024.
  • The summer holidays start on Tuesday 16 July 2024 and end on Sunday 15 September 2024.
